To track creator posts across platforms, start with the same creator roster and campaign scope, then collect and review posts separately for each platform. Bring the approved post lists together for reporting, but keep the original URLs, formats, and platform-specific metrics attached to every row.
That approach answers the team's real question: “What did our creators publish across the program?” It also avoids treating unlike metrics as if every platform measures the same thing.
Build one roster, then map each account
Record the people in your program once. For each creator, add the public account identifiers you intend to track on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Check that each account belongs to the right person before collection. Similar display names and changed handles can otherwise create a convincing but wrong report.
For each platform, record your start and end dates, matching words, hashtags or mentions, and known direct post URLs. A campaign tag helps find candidates, but a relevant creator post may omit it. Direct links give you a way to include a known post after review.
Review posts with their platform context
Keep a post-level record that a reviewer can follow back to the source:
Scroll sideways to see all columns →
| Field | Why it belongs in the record |
|---|---|
| Creator and account | Shows who published the post. |
| Platform and format | Preserves the context of a Reel, video, Short, or text post. |
| Original URL and date | Lets someone verify the post and reporting window. |
| Inclusion decision | Separates a search match from a counted campaign post. |
| Metric value and check time | Shows what was available and when it was observed. |
Review the actual post before including it. A matching word can appear in unrelated content; an agreed deliverable can use unexpected wording. Keep a short reason for ambiguous decisions so the next reporting cycle applies the same rule.
Report per-platform metrics honestly
Public metrics differ by platform and content type. A view count is not unique reach. Some posts may have no available view count or may become inaccessible. Show that gap instead of recording zero. If you provide an all-program summary, make the post list and the platform breakdown easy to inspect.
Compare creators using the same reporting window and stated metric definitions. Do not call one creator “best” solely because a raw view count is larger on a different platform. The creator campaign report template provides a structure for scope, included posts, performance, and data quality.
Use Recap for the collection and review workflow
Recap supports trackers for public creator content on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X. You can define creators and matching terms, add direct post links, review the content that belongs, and prepare a report. Its home page demo uses fictional posts so you can explore the interface without an account; the connected workspace is the place to work with collected content.
